What is the U. S. National Commission for UNESCO? The U.S. National Commission for the United Nations Educational, Scientific, Cultural Organization is a Federal Advisory Committee to the Department of State that supports worldwide humanitarian development and values by coordinating efforts and delivering expert advice from the Federal, State and Local Governments and from Non-Governmental Organizations on issues of Education, Science, Communications and Culture. Americans are encouraged to inform the National Commission's Secretariat about collaboration activities with UNESCO.

How to become an Associated School? The UNESCO Associated Schools Project (ASP) is a network of schools throughout the world committed to the ideals of UNESCO. National Commissions for UNESCO and the Ministries of Education are invited to establish a network of schools interested in carrying out activities and experimental work.
