Each year the United Nations as a whole celebrates International Youth Day. This year, following Youth Day (August 12), and as part of the celebration of UNESCO's 60th anniversary -- a 60 week long event, week 40 (August 14-18, 2006) was specifically dedicated to UNESCO activities with and for youth. (Click here to to the webpage that describes the activities of that week.).
